Sunday Morning in Sitabuldi Market

Sunday in Siitabuldi Market, Watercolour on Arches Paper, (22" X 15")
Sitabuldi is one of the major market areas in my hometown, Nagpur. Normally its very crowded with all the shops open and people buying and selling everything from clothes to shoes, to pencils to locks and even antique coins. Sunday mornings are an exception, however. Most shops are closed and everything is very quiet and peaceful.
All comments and critiques are most welcome.

Love the way you have captured light and also the colors.

Oh this is wonderful Vinayak! The light is fantastic, as is the composition with the building signs that are partly falling down, but what really makes this painting for me is the figure. Looks very much alive as if I actually just saw them walking down the market. :)

Love the colors in this - especially the color of the small area of sunlit green next to the blues is marvelous.
