I got this photograph from a wonderful photographer friend. The moment I saw it I knew it was meant to be 'charcoaled' :). The shyness of the girl in showing her full face to someone behind her really caught my eye.

Anxious, Charcoal on Paper, (8.5" x 11.5")

Did this drawing from a photo by my friend Prasad Dabke.  I love doing these charcoal portraits once in a while. I hope to achieve greater edge control with practice. 
Its a shame how fixatives spoil a day's work. The hair and lips were a rich, deep dark. Thankfully the fixative was so bad that it actually could be removed by wiping with a dry brush.
