Done en plein air

Low Tide in Staithes, 24" X 20". Oil on Canvas, 

I have been a huge fan of the artwork of the british master painter David Curtis, ROI RSMA, both his watercolours and oils. Staithes is a recurrent place in most of his plein air work. He has painted it several times in all seasons and light conditions. One ought to see his work to appreciate the true beauty of this place.
I did this from a reference photo I found on the internet. Please do feel free to comment and critique :)

I love looking at the sea and painting it too :). This is based on a photograph I took at Calangute Beach, Goa just before sunrise.

Seascape and Watercolour Sketches

Ratnagiri Beach, Oil on Canvas, 18" X 24" 

Did this one from a photograph I took at Ratnagiri on the Pule Beach. Awesome place to visit. The sea is always so amazing to look at and paint :) The photo of the painting though is not so good, with too much glare especially on the top left corner.

I also did a couple of watercolour studies recently. Doing watercolours after a gap of a few months, it felt like beginning from scratch :)
