Low Tide in Staithes, 24" X 20". Oil on Canvas,
I have been a huge fan of the artwork of the british master painter David Curtis, ROI RSMA, both his watercolours and oils. Staithes is a recurrent place in most of his plein air work. He has painted it several times in all seasons and light conditions. One ought to see his work to appreciate the true beauty of this place.
I did this from a reference photo I found on the internet. Please do feel free to comment and critique :)

Fishing Boats in the Sand

Fishing Boats in the Sand, Oil on Canvas , (18" X 14")

I love to paint boats, especially those that lay on land during low tides. They make such beautiful subjects for painting. I believe each one of them has a personality and a unique charm about themselves. I feel I am successful as an artist when I am able to capture that without ignoring the overall atmosphere of the place.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Rest Day

Rest Day, Watercolour on Paper, (14" X 22")
Its been about a couple of months since I did a boat painting. These boats are waiting their turn to get minor repairs done before the tide comes in.
All comments are critiques are most welcome.
