Artist's
Statement
For me the act of painting is a
way of showing gratitude for the wonderful world we have been given to live in.
There are certain things that I respond to emotionally and they make up the
bulk of my subject matter. I consider a painting successful if the viewer
is able to experience the same feeling that I did when I saw the subject.
I have been drawing and painting
since I was a kid. My talent was noticed rather early when I started to win
prizes and recognition at various art competitions for kids and
teenagers. However, I was encouraged to concentrate on studies and
continue painting only as a hobby.
After
graduating with a degree in engineering and settling down in a decent job, I
still felt the same longing for my brushes. In the last few years I have
been taking my art seriously and achieving professional success with
regular selections in juried exhibitions and occasional recognitions like awards.
I hope you
enjoy surfing through my drawings and paintings on this blog. If you are
interested in any of my works or want to commission me for a painting or just
want to let me know what you feel, please email me. I would love to hear from
you.
Thank you
so much for visiting my blog.
