Watercolour and Oil Paintings: Landscapes, Portraits, Still Lives etc.
Vinayak, so nice to see you back posting again. This painting of an old man is wonderful.
Good to have you posting again, Vinay! Your subject has such a fascinating face. You have done an enviable job of his beard and eyebrows. My only quibble is the color scheme. I think, with the man having such an intriguing face, I would mute most of the colors and downplay their differences to focus more on your subject.PS - hope you are not offended by my critique :)Kathryn
Thank you so much Carol. Thanks a lot Kathryn. I am not the least offended and I totally agree with you. I really dont have enough command over colour to be able to adjust it to suit the requirement of a painting. Thats perhaps one reason why I love charcoal so much :)
MARAVILLOSO EN TÉCNICA, EXPRESIÓN Y COLOR!FELICITACIONES.ABRAZO GRANDE DESDE CHILE!http://expresiongraficayverbal.blogspot.com/
My wife and I both like it! As we were talking through it, it occurred to her if you are playing with lighting/colors you might wish to check out the old master Rembrandt! Keep it up
Thank you so much everyone. Thank you so much Don Quixote, I do love Rembrandt's paintings, an endless source of inspiration. :)
