Evening's Glow

Evening's Glow, Watercolour on Paper, (20" X 14") 

Another boat painting! This is based on several references. I had photos of this boat taken around midday and some other photos of the evening.  I made many value sketches in black and white by moving the sun around along the horizon. I then chose the one that seemed to work best. I hope I could do justice here.

One more of the boat paintings. Did it on Friday night. Painted all night without sleeping. Reminded me of those engineering college days when we would stay up all night and finish long pending practical records :).
